No — Söhne isn’t listed as a free font. Klim Type Foundry releases it, so licence options and pricing sit on their site.
Söhne is a sans-serif typeface from Klim Type Foundry.
Start with Klim Type Foundry’s other releases — Founders Grotesk, Untitled Sans, American Grotesk, and Calibre. They come from the same studio that drew Söhne, and A1 has 16 websites using them.
Söhne is the memory of Akzidenz-Grotesk framed through the reality of Helvetica. It captures the analogue materiality of “Standard Medium” used in Unimark’s legendary wayfinding system for the NYC Subway.
A1 features 14 websites using Söhne, including Joshua Baker, Primer, and Etched. They lean towards Minimal, Animated, and Photography design styles, and they’re most often built with Next.js, Webflow, and Astro.
