Terms of service
Last updated: September 2026
These are the terms for using A1 Gallery. They’re written plainly on purpose — no dense legal block. By using the site or making an account, you agree to them.
Using A1
A1 is a gallery of well-designed websites. Browse it, save things, get inspired — all free. You don’t need an account to look around. You do need one to save work or submit a site.
Your account
An account is for one person. Keep access to your email and your devices safe, since that’s how you log in. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has got in, email us and we’ll help.
You can delete your account any time from your account settings. That removes your saves, boards, and profile photo from our side.
Submitting a site
When you submit a site, you’re telling us you’re happy for us to feature it. We review every submission, but we can’t promise to feature them all — that’s the whole point of a curated gallery. We may feature a site, ask you for more, or pass on it.
Free submissions sit in the normal queue. You can pay a one-off fee to skip the line, and Pro members get priority automatically. Paying doesn’t guarantee a feature — it buys a faster review, not a yes.
Pro subscription
Pro unlocks unlimited saves, priority submissions, higher MCP limits, and early access to new things. You can pay monthly or yearly.
Payments run through Polar, who handle the billing as our merchant of record. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account — you’ll keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, then it stops. Refunds and billing questions are handled under Polar’s terms.
Fair use
Use A1 the way it’s meant to be used. Don’t try to break it, hammer the API past its limits, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.
The MCP server
Use the MCP server, and the data it gives back, in your own work. Looking things up while you build, referencing a design, pulling a few sites into what you’re making. Your own projects, your company’s work, or a product you’re building for other people — all fine. That’s what the daily limits are sized for.
What it never covers:
- Bulk-downloading the gallery, or any substantial part of it.
- Keeping A1’s data as your own dataset, or shipping it inside another product — the metadata, the section content, the measured palettes, the screenshots.
- Reselling, sublicensing or leasing your access to someone else.
- Building a gallery that stands in for this one.
- Training, testing or benchmarking an AI model on the data.
- Mirroring, caching or re-hosting what you pull, by any automated means, anywhere else.
Staying under the rate limit doesn’t make any of that fine. There’s a second limit for the same reason: one account can pull the full record for 300 individual sites a day. Browsing and search keep working when you reach it.
The gallery is a database we’ve put years into building and checking, and it’s protected as one. If a copy of the data is what you need, we’ll licence it to you — email [email protected] and we’ll sort something out.
The sites we feature
The websites, screenshots, logos, and brands shown on A1 belong to the people who made them. We feature them to celebrate the work and inspire others. If you own something here and would rather it wasn’t, email us and we’ll sort it out.
Availability
We work hard to keep A1 fast and online, but we can’t promise it’ll never go down or never have a bug. The site is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for any loss that comes from using it.
Changes
We may update these terms now and then. Anything significant gets noted with a fresh date at the top of this page.
